This place is amazing and the food is almost always very good, but you gotta understand the restaurant is managed almost as a home business. So, sometimes it's chaos. Sometimes the food is not that good. Sometimes the service is kinda lazy. Sometimes you'll get a wonderful breakfast feast, some other times you'll get mad about how long (how very long!) it's taking to bring your food. Either way, I found the food to be generally good, but perhaps not as good as they charge you. It's a simple place in a very rich neighborhood, so that's how it goes. If you're visiting, though, Alpina is a must see and a place you should stop by at least once. Really charming and nice environment.

  Well on my way home today I decided to take the mountain road which is the scenic route. We were hungry so we decided to stop in at Alpina for some breakfast. Boy, I didn't regret it. Everything was well cooked and delicious. Real home cooked potatoes And very tasty sausages. If your on the mountain road you gotta stop and eat here. Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service.+++++++

  We had a great first and second time here! Our servers were polite and attentive, even when she was the only server on we never felt forgotten. Lots of choices on the menu! And the food was great!
